When my daughter was about 2.5 she stopped me during our regular walk because she found an interestingly shaped rock. She picked it up and looked at me and said, “This rock looks like Africa.” My eyebrow went up in amazement that she was even capable of making this connection let alone that she was right! The rock was weirdly shaped like the continent of Africa. That was the day I knew that placing my daughter in a Montessori program was the best educational decision I ever made.
